“Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.”
— Colossians 3:16

Music at Westminster Presbyterian Church

At Westminster Presbyterian, music is an integral part of our fellowship as a church family, and should be open to all who desire to worship Christ through music.

We seek to incorporate a variety of musical worship traditions each Sunday. The Music Ministry is dedicated to offering opportunities for everyone who is interested in enriching worship through music.

Each of our musical ensembles seek to educate and spiritually invigorate all participants who give their time so graciously to this vital ministry. We offer opportunities for both instrumental and vocal music, and for children, youth and adults.

Everyone is encouraged to be a part of the Music Ministry at Westminster!

If you are interested in being a part of one of our music ensembles, please take the time to read about them.

“Sing to him, sing psalms to him! Talk of all his wondrous works!”
— Psalm 105:2

Easter Sunday April 1, 2018

The Chancel Choir’s primary responsibility is providing music for the 10:45 Sunday morning worship service.  Participation is open to anyone interested in leading worship through singing! Chancel Choir rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings, beginning at 7:00 and ending at 8:30. We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:00 to warm-up and review our selections for the 10:45 worship service. Feel free to join at anytime!  We are open to beginning and experienced musicians alike.

The Handbell Ensemble plays during the 10:45 Sunday morning worship service. They play an average of two pieces a month. Knowledge of very basic rhythm patterns (whole, half, quarter, and eighth notes) is helpful, but not required. Handbell Ensemble rehearsals are also Wednesday evening. They start at 6:00 and conclude at 7:00
